Berglodge37 plans to cease operations at the end of November 2026

Berglodge37 plans to cease its hotel and conference operations at the end of November 2026. The final decision will be made once the ongoing consultation process with staff has been completed.

After four intensive and successful years with over 15,000 overnight stays, the owners find themselves faced with the situation that the hotel concept, with its 24 rooms, cannot be operated in a financially viable manner in the long term. Unfortunately, the expansion required to achieve this cannot be reconciled with the interests of the local mountain community.

Should the consultation process fail to yield a solution, the possibility of converting the three buildings into smaller holiday flats or apartments will be examined. As soon as concrete decisions and further details are available, we will provide an update here.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who has accompanied us on this special journey: our guests, including many loyal regulars; our highly motivated staff, who have time and again delighted our guests with their warmth; and the local mountain community for their openness and personal engagement. You have all made Berglodge37 what it is today: an extraordinary place with a vision for the future. Special thanks also go to the municipality of Altdorf for its proactive support.

Guests with an existing booking up to the end of November do not need to take any action; their stay can go ahead as usual with us. Guests with a booking from December onwards will be contacted by us following the consultation process.
