Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about Berglodge37 — direct, honest, complete. 37 questions, 6 categories.
Stay & Booking
For sustainability reasons and in the spirit of slowing down, we generally recommend a stay of two nights. Of course, a shorter stay is also possible — however, from 2 nights you benefit from a more attractive room rate.
A longer stay of two nights is part of our sustainability strategy. The journey and the final cleaning of your room consume resources. The longer your stay, the smaller the ecological footprint of your trip. That is why we prefer longer stays of two or more nights and are delighted when you stay longer with us. Berglodge37 also stands for time out and relaxation. We want our guests to find time to arrive and slow down.
The minimum age for a stay with us is 18 years.
Although we love children, it is important to us to create an ideal place of inspiration, reflection and tranquility.
We kindly ask for your understanding that pets are not permitted.
Our restaurant is not open to the public. However, we regularly organise events such as “Stargazing”. At these events you can participate without an overnight stay and take the extra cable car back to the valley in the evening.
Due to our location, we normally only rent our seminar rooms to guests who are also staying overnight. For short-notice requests, we also rent the seminar rooms on a day basis (1 day).
The premises of Berglodge37 can be rented exclusively. We would be happy to provide you with a corresponding offer on request. Use with your own staff, without Berglodge37 employees, is not possible.
You can pay with cash, debit card or credit card.
For companies we can also issue invoices on request.
The check-in and check-out times are as follows:
Check-in: from 15:00
Check-out: by 10:00
Directions & Cable Car
Berglodge37 can only be reached by cable car. You can find the current timetable at www.eggberge.ch
The valley station of the cable car is located at Flüelerstrasse 132, 6460 Altdorf. Parking spaces are available right next to the valley station.
For public transport, connections are available via Altdorf or Flüelen train station. From there you can reach the valley station in just a few minutes by bus. The name of the bus stop is Flüelen, Eggberge Talstation.
Parking spaces are available at the valley station of the cable car for CHF 8 per day. Payment is made at the machine or via the usual apps. Parking spaces cannot be pre-reserved.
The cable car runs every half hour. You can find the current times at www.eggberge.ch
The ride takes 9 minutes.
A return ticket costs CHF 22 per person. By showing your booking confirmation you receive a 20% discount. GA and Halbtax are not valid.
Group journeys can be registered with the cable car and paid by invoice afterwards. We are happy to send you the relevant form on request.
We monitor the weather situation continuously. If there is a possibility that the cable car will not be running on the day of your arrival, we will contact you in good time to arrange an alternative way for you to get here.
The walk takes approx. 5 minutes and follows an unpaved road. We therefore recommend good footwear and a backpack for your luggage. Wheeled suitcases are not suitable.
There is no taxi service to the Eggbergen. The only exception is when the cable car has to be suspended due to strong foehn winds. In this case, an extraordinary taxi service is organised if the road is free of snow.
On request and for an additional charge, we can organise luggage transport for you.

Kitchen & Catering
Our Alpine Kitchen is a contemporary interpretation of Alpine food culture. The focus is on regional, seasonal ingredients from the Alpine region, wherever possible of organic quality and from local producers. During the day our kitchen is vegetarian: breakfast and lunch are vegetarian and served as a varied buffet with fresh, seasonal dishes. In the evening we serve a multi-course tavolata, complemented by a carefully selected meat dish of regional origin. With our concept and the absence of meat during the day, we contribute to reducing our CO2 footprint.
Our full board includes the following meals:
Breakfast buffet
Mid-morning snack
Lunch buffet (or optional packed lunch)
Afternoon snack
Dinner (Tavolata, 3 courses)
Drinks: coffee, tea and water
Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are available at an extra charge.
At a tavolata, all guests sit together at one long table. The food is served in large bowls on the table. With this style of communal dining, we aim to encourage interaction among our guests.
As part of our efforts to avoid food waste, we deliberately do not offer an à-la-carte service. We cook seasonally, regionally and freshly, and therefore avoid long-term menu planning.
Meals are served at the following times:
Breakfast buffet: 07:30 to 10:00
Mid-morning snack: 10:00 to 11:30
Lunch buffet: 12:00 to 13:00
Afternoon snack: 15:00 to 16:00
Dinner: 18:30
By Honesty Bar we mean our bar in the lounge and in the mountain lounge, where guests can help themselves to drinks independently. Payment is made on a trust basis at the end of the stay. Coffee, tea and water are already included in the price.
Our Honesty Bar offers the following drinks:
Various red wines
Various white wines
Various sparkling wines
Various beers (alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
