National Day Dinner

Treat yourself to an unforgettable 1 August evening high above the Urner Valley – with panoramic views, traditional bonfires and an authentic mountain atmosphere.

The evening begins in a relaxed setting around the Feuerring with an outdoor apéro under the open sky. As dusk slowly settles and the first bonfires begin to light up the mountains, we will serve you a delightful dinner from our new Swiss Alpine cuisine. Regional, seasonal and prepared with great care.

Look forward to an evening full of enjoyment, conversations and a special atmosphere – without rush, without a big programme. Simply raise a glass together, enjoy the view and celebrate the Swiss National Day surrounded by the mountain scenery. 

You can extend your stay with an overnight stay and start the next morning with a relaxed breakfast.

5.15 pm official start with apéro at the Feuerring (Honesty Bar in case of bad weather)
6.30 pm dinner (3-course dinner) 
10.00 pm gathering at the Feuerring
11.00 pm extra cable car ride back to the valley and end of the event

The event can be booked with or without an overnight stay at Berglodge37. As we are an adults-only hotel, we unfortunately cannot accept registrations for children. For guests who are not staying overnight, an extra cable car ride back to the valley after the event (11 pm) will be organised. The costs for the extra ride are included in the event price. Please purchase a regular return ticket. Guests staying overnight with us benefit from a 20% reduction on the cable car fare.

Permanent closure of the hotel at the end of November 2026

After four intense years and more than 15,000 overnight stays, we, as the owners of Berglodge37, have been forced to close the hotel at the end of November 2026.

An expansion of Berglodge37 would have been necessary to run the hotel profitably in the long term. However, due to opposition on the mountain, this project could not be carried out as planned. This led us to rethink the future of Berglodge37 and set a new course.

New use planned for Berglodge37

In the future, we plan a concept based on seasonal apartment rentals, complemented by selected culinary and cultural events. We are also exploring the possibility of renting the lodge exclusively to business and leisure groups during the off-season.

A huge thank you goes to our guests, our partners and suppliers – and most especially to our team. All of you have shaped Berglodge37 over the past years. Our bond with you will continue beyond this chapter.

Towards the end of the year, we will be happy to share more about our concrete plans and the new direction of Berglodge37.

Guests with a booking from December 2026 onwards have been personally informed about the situation in recent days.

We are no longer accepting new bookings for stays until the end of November. If you would still like to redeem a Berglodge37 voucher, please get in touch with us directly. Together, we will see whether we can still find a suitable date.
